Kenneth Wayne Tackett

Kenneth Wayne TackettKenneth Wayne Tackett, born September 30, 1943, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023 at the age of 79 years.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons, Jason (Audrey) and Brian (Nicole); three grandchildren, Audrey, Harper, and Cage; and his siblings, Barbara and Marsha.

Kenneth was predeceased by his parents, James Bryant and Hazel, and his brother, Donald.

Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Excelsior Springs, and graduated from ESHS in 1962. He began working at the Missouri Department of Transportation in 1963, where he was employed for 46 years.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 25, 2023, from 12 to 1 p.m. with a service to follow at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, with a graveside to follow at Masonic Cemetery.

Deepest Sympathy. I was fortunate to know Kenny while he was a MoDOT. A great guy and a good friend. I am saddened that he has laid down the working tools but am happy that he has gone home to stay with his creator. God Bless my Brother (SMIB).
