Marijane “Janie” Wright, 75, Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
Janie was born October 5, 1948 to Don and Norma (Dobbs) Estes in Effingham, Illinois. Janie worked as a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital, Wichita, KS, and Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO.
Janie enjoyed making homemade crafts, painting, quilting, sewing, knitting and music. She was very proud of her genealogy research and finding of nearly 60 close and distant Estes family members.
Janie leaves behind her husband, Howard Wright; brother, Don Estes; daughter, Shannon Williamson; son, Robert Aguilera; son-in-law, Gary Williamson; daugher-in-law, Hannah Aguilera; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Janie was a fun, loving, kind, wonderful wife and mother, great cook, amazing grandmother.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2024 with funeral service following at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home Lawson Chapel, 214 N. Pennsylvania, Lawson, MO, followed by burial at Lawson Cemetery.
