Curtis Duane Stephenson

Curtis Duane Stephenson, 76, of Kearney, MO, passed away on May 15, 2024 at his home.

Curtis was born on July 18, 1947 in Brookfield, MO, to Harold Stephenson and Ines Mae Head. He was married to Linda Phillips on August 28,1965. They shared two children, Kurt and Rhonda. Curtis worked for Kenworth for many years, followed by becoming a real estate agent with RE/MAX and ended his working career with Carpet Corner as a salesman.

Curtis was a devoted follower of Christ for many years, as well as serving as a Deacon at Northern Hills Baptist Church. Curtis and Linda enjoyed riding their motorcycle and, after Linda passed, he joined the Christian Motorcyclists Association, where he had many dear friends. In fact, Curtis made many dear friends everywhere he went!

He is preceded in death by his Mother and Father; his brother, Gerral Wayne; and his wife, Linda.

He is survived by his “brother” cousin, Roger Mason (Sharon); his son, Kurt Stephenson (April) and his four children, Derek Stephenson (Lizzie), Tiffany Sypher (Tyler), Sarah Stephenson (Nick Miles), and Ashton “Sam” Stone (Glen); as well as his daughter, Rhonda Holt (Jimmy), and their son, Gannon Stephenson (Beth Rice); followed by five great-grandchildren, Sayer Crawford, Serenity Stephenson, Kenny G. Stone,
Kaiden Stone, and Tegan Sypher; as well as many more family members and numerous friends.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Northern Hills Baptist Church, Holt, MO. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Northern Hills Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking that memorial contributions be made to CMA (Christian Motorcyclists Association).
