Carol Faye Barnes, 79, of Kearney, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Good Shepard Nursing Home, Versailles, Missouri. Carol was born January 9, 1945 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the daughter of James and Mary Cunningham. Carol was united in marriage on October 1971.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Bentley; husband, Larry Barnes; daughter, Laurie Montgomery; and grandsons, Douglas Ritter and Micheal Brewer. Also her best friend, Sally Villers.
Carol is survived by two siblings, Cathy Groh and James (Ida) Cunningham. Carol is also survived by two daughters, Lisa (Martin) Patrick of Stover and Susan of Kearney, Missouri; grandsons, Keith Warren, Kyle Phillips, Tyler Montgomery, Cody Montgomery, Colby Brewer, Quinton Ingram, and Carlos Jimenez; granddaughters, Lauren Brewer, Charlsea Warren, Ashley Patrick and Faithe Neary; 12 great grandsons and six great granddaughters.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Fry-Bross & Spidle Chapels, 208 S. Jefferson, Kearney, MO 64060. Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Corey’s Network.
