Angela Lynne Wemhoff

Angela Wemhoff

Angela Lynne Wemhoff, 46, of Kearney, MO, passed away November 5, 2024 surrounded by love and care at Northcare Hospice House.

Angela was born on May 26, 1978 in Muskogee, OK.  Angela is a 1996 graduate of Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, MO.  She earned an Associates Degree in Nursing from Park University in 1999.  In 2016 Angela graduated Magna Cum Laude from Park University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.  She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and a Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse.  These are just a sampling of the countless awards and recognitions she received for excellent performance in health care.  Angela dedicated her professional career to excellence in patient care and also to advancing the education of many new “baby nurses.”  It didn’t stop with patients though.  She was known for being a bit ornery among co-workers with quick witted responses that brought laughs to an otherwise long work day.

Angela was joined in marriage to Phil Wemhoff on June 14, 2003 in Blue Springs,  MO.  Through trials and tribulations they enjoyed 21 years together.  Each one would call it the perfect match. The best days of her life began on May 23, 2007 when she welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Andrew.  If you knew Angela, you felt like you knew Drew too.  She was always there for the school parties, ball games, field trips, and of course all the Kearney High School Band performances, auditions, parades and Friday football band dinners.  She loved being involved with anything Drew had going on.  She was sure to let everyone know about his accomplishments too.  She was so proud of him.

Angela enjoyed family vacations, Royals games, camping, movies and everything that had to do with England.  She had the time of her life on several trips to England and Eastern Europe with family and friends.  Her favorite pastime was musicals.  She loved going to live theater with friends and family.  She obtained quite the collection of magnets that she purchased from every musical she got to enjoy.

Angela had a heart of gold.  She was quick to step in and help and always looking to help someone else before herself.  She spent her career caring for others and that continued at home and everywhere she went. She never met a stranger.  Her joy and laughter was contagious and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.  Simply put, she’s our Angel A.

Survivors include husband, Phil Wemhoff; son, Andrew Wemhoff; mother and stepfather, Marsha and Larry Winlaw; father and stepmother, Robert and Janet Roddy; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Emily Roddy; brother and sister-in-law, Adam and Johnna Roddy; father- and mother-in-law, Dan and Mary Beth Wemhoff; brother and sister-in-law, Chris, and Jenny Wemhoff; brother and sister-in-law, Jeremy and Natalie Wemhoff; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Anne Wemhoff; brother and sister-in-law, Matt and Cary Wemhoff; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
