Jimmy “Jim” Wayne Neely, 79, of Greenfield, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Liberty Hospital. Born on July 20, 1945, he was the son of the late Virgil and Viola Neely of Carthage, Missouri.
Jim had a passion for playing pool, fishing, and spending time at the lake. Throughout his life, he embraced adventure and new experiences. At points in his life he owned and operated a foosball/pool hall, a dog breeding business, and an antique shop.
He is survived by his loving domestic partner, Linda Neumann, and her children, Kristi Arnett and John Parker. He also leaves behind his children, Brad Neely, Laura Warner, Jimmy Neely, Kellen Neely, Eric Neely, and Patrick Neely, along with their spouses, 28 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his siblings, Robert Neely, Mike Neely, David Neely, Diana Foster, Gloria Gourley, and Sherry Hayden.
He is preceded in death by three children, Amy, Scott and Courtney Neely; his granddaughter, Andrea Neely; brothers, Ronald and Donald Neely; and his parents.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at his favorite spot on Stockton Lake in Missouri at a later date.
