Elizabeth Anne Romesburg, 74, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Valley Manor & Rehabilitation Center.
Elizabeth (Liz) was born May 2, 1950, to Mary Katharyn (Mingee) Tucker and Anthony Greb in Sacramento, CA.
As a child, Liz lived in many places, including Guam while her mother taught English. Liz was one of 11 children and was considered to be a second mom to her siblings. Liz worked various jobs over the years in manufacturing, retail, restaurants, and helped her husband run a Full-Service Filling Station where she pumped gas, changed oil and tires, and kept the books for the business. Liz loved to be outdoors and had a passion for gardening and plants of all types. She loved to oil paint and was an avid horse enthusiast. Liz also enjoyed fishing, cooking, knitting, crocheting, sewing and crafting. Affectionately known as “Miss Liz” to neighbors and friends, Liz would always greet her neighbors with a big smile and a wave. She would always cook up whatever we brought back from our many fishing trips.
Liz is survived by her three sons, Ray Davis of Smithville, Missouri, Phillip (Stephanie) Davis of Lexington, Missouri, and Joseph (Devyn) Davis of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Tylor (Jessica) Whitham, Tyler (Brooke) Reynolds, Lyndsay Reynolds (James Sheets), Katie Davis, Brandon Reynolds, Elijah Davis, Ruth Davis, Cooper Davis, and Hannah Davis; four great-grandchildren, Leland Reynolds, Charlotte Reynolds, Oakland Sheets, and Khloe Reynolds; five sisters and three brothers, Veronica Brown of Medford, Oregon, Michael (Judy) Tucker of Nampa, Idaho, Kathy (Tom) Hiler, Joan McBride both of Mountain Home, Idaho, Jeff Tucker of Farmington, New Mexico, Rose (LeRoy) Thompson of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Terry Tucker of Mountain Home, Idaho and John Tucker of Waukesha, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents; stepfathers, Arthur Tucker and Victor Jorgensen; husband, Bennie Romesburg; granddaughter, Danielle Nichole Romesburg; brother, Greg Tucker; and sister, Mary Emerson.
Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in care of Phillip Davis, 23 Ussery Dr., Lexington, MO 64067.
