Cynthia Kay Watkins

Cynthia Kay Watkins of Liberty, MO, passed away peacefully at the age of 72 on March 5, 2025.

Cynthia was born on August 16, 1952 in Ellendale, N.D., to parents Marvin and Beatrice Dahl. She graduated from Ellendale High School and was a good athlete, before they had all the girls sports they have now. She was a tomboy who wasn’t afraid of much of anything.

Cynthia was a resilient spirit and cancer survivor where most everyone she met loved her. Even if she was in need, she made others feel warm and loved when being around her. She lived in Wichita, KS, before retiring and moving to Liberty, MO, to be closer to her son. In the fall Cynthia was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan, and loved to watch as many NFL games as she could. She enjoyed movies, TV shows, and reading books that brought her endless entertainment.

Cynthia is survived by her son, Eric and daughter-in-law, Dena; her brother, Leon and sister-in-law, Joan; her nieces, Christie, Andrea, Danielle, Beatrice, and Tanya; her nephew, Michael; grandchildren, Katie and Megan; great-grandchildren, Isla and Lillian; and others who adopted her as their sister or mother.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Marvin and Beatrice; her sister, Pat; and nephew, Todd.

Memorial services will be held Monday, March 10, 2025 from 11 a.m. to noon at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney Missouri.
