In Loving Memory of Charles Michael Denny
April 26, 1944 – April 23, 2025
Lawson, Missouri
Charles Michael “Mike” Denny passed away peacefully just days shy of his 81st birthday. He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, beloved brother, cherished son, loyal friend, and so much more to all who knew him.
Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jane, whom he missed dearly every day. Their love was the foundation of his life, and he carried her memory with him always.
He is survived by his children, Anita Marie, Anthony, Cheryl, and Dana. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren, Michael, Tyler, Tessa, Cloey, Desirai, Levi, Mason, Sarah, and Kerstin; and his great-grandchildren, Mckenzi, Waylon, Lorelia, and Jude. He is also remembered lovingly by many extended family members and friends who deeply loved and respected him.
Mike spent much of his career in the printing industry before transitioning to a second chapter at Ford Motor Company, where he found meaningful work and lasting friendships. He remained with Ford until his second retirement.
An outdoorsman at heart, Mike’s greatest passion was hunting. In his younger years, he shared his father’s love of bowling. He became a skilled marksman and proudly passed down his knowledge to his children and grandchildren. His quiet evenings were often spent with a big glass of sweet tea, watching his favorite old westerns. And during family gatherings, he was always up for a spirited game of Spades.
Though he missed his wife, Jane, dearly, Mike found comfort and joy in the presence of his family. His warmth, wisdom, and sense of humor will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2025 with service following at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home, Lawson, Mo., with burial at Lawson Cemetery.
