
Karen Ann (Moore) Siddens passed peacefully at Tiffany Springs Health Care Center in Kansas City, MO on Sunday, May 4, 2025. She was born July 27, 1945, the oldest of four children of John E. Moore and Catherine Folkerts in Marshall, MO.
She grew up in Marshall and graduated from High School in 1963 and Missouri Valley College there in Marshall in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She was a life long teacher – retiring after 30 years with the North Kansas City Public Schools and continuing to teach, first with local private Catholic Schools, then the federal Della Lamb pre-school and finally substitute taught part time for a total of over 40 years!
Karen was married to James Walter Durham who preceded her in death on August 8, 2011 and Robert Leroy Siddens who preceded her in death on October 1, 2021. She has two surviving children – Son Mickey Durham of Kansas City, MO and daughter Tanya (Siddens) Howton of Pleasant Valley, MO. Four grandchildren – Amanda & Melanie Durham of Kearney, MO and Cale & Colin Howton of Pleasant Valley, MO and two great-grandchildren – Aiden Tanner and Hudson Eldridge of Kearney, MO. Karen also has one surviving sister – Connie Obryan of Marshall, MO. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her sister Lynda Narron and brother John L. Moore of Marshall, MO.
Karen will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her generous heart and her love of friends and family!
