Lambert "Bert" Millholland Macy
Lambert "Bert" Millholland Macy, age 66, of Lawson, Mo., born February 11, 1948 in Newburg, N.Y., died November 28, 2014.
He was survived by his wife, Stacy A. Macy (formerly Stacy M. Andreas); his children, Elizabeth Rogers of Stamford, Conn., Lambert Allan Macy of Denver, Colo., Barbara Metallo of San Diego, Calif., and stepson, Christopher Andreas Wilkinson of Lawson, Mo.; grandchildren Catherine, Keira and Anna Rogers, and Cecelia and Gregory Metallo; brother to E. Herbert Macy, James Macy, and Virginia Renschen.
Lambert Millholland Macy attended the University of Texas and graduated with a degree in Geology. He received his MBA from Houston Baptist University. He was drafted and served honorably in the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, two Overseas Bars, Republic of Vietnam Commendation Medal, Bronze Star, and Army Commendation Medal. He was a member of the Lawson, Mo., Post of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Past Master of Clay Lodge No. 207, and Junior Warden of Bee-Hive Lodge No. 393 and a member of Angerona Lodge No. 193, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. He was a Past Worthy Patron of Excelsior Chapter 168, Order of the Eastern Star. He achieved his 32nd Degree, Scottish Rite. He was an active member of numerous civic and charitable organizations throughout his life.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Masonic Cemetery on Crown Hill Road (northwest corner of 69 Highway and Crown Hill Road), Excelsior Springs, Mo. Reception following at Clay Lodge No. 297, 110 South Main, Excelsior Springs, Mo. (entrance on Spring Street).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Lawson VFW Building Fund, c/o Jeff Bye, 124 South Raum, Lawson, MO 64062.
