Milton Wendell Bratton Sr. was born January 29, 1940 to Milton and Beatrice Bratton.
Milton attended and graduated from Excelsior Springs High School. Milton was a member of Main Street Baptist Church under the leadership of W.R. Palmer. Milton was married in 1960 to Nina Bratton (Vertreese) and to this union three children were born, Mignon, Milton Jr. and Brian. Milton was a Chef for many years at several restaurants and he retired from Kearney, Mo.
Both parents and one brother, Virgil Bratton, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories, Mignon Slaughter of Kansas City, Mo., Brian Bratton of Kansas City, Mo., and Milton Bratton Jr. of the Netherlands; five grandchildren, Keisha Stinson (Robert), Brandon Ersery, Dominique Brockington, Michele Freemon, and Karla Whitish; as well as seven great grandchildren; one sister, Doris Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as close friends.
Memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday , December 8, 2018, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Mo.

The family would like to thank everyone for all of their prayers and words of encouragement throughout this time.
