Georgia Nadine Brown, 79, passed peacefully in her sleep at home on December 6, 2018. Georgia was born February 4, 1939 to Frank Moore and Venus Audry Pierson Moore.
Georgia started working as a young lady in the family business ran by her grandparents, Noah and Alma Person, called OK Taxi, with a small restaurant included. Over the years she worked at several local restaurants, Whitaker Cable, Avsco, and retired from Gilmore Hose. She had a big part of helping raise her grandchildren after retiring. She never missed a sporting event of her grandchildren or great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband of 32 years, Junior Brown; sisters, Betty Bennett, Wilma (Corky) Moore, Joyce Leeka and Carolyn Moore.
She is survived by her children, William Whitworth, Roy and Tracy Adams, David and Kelly Adams, and Belinda and Bill Halberstadt; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and brother, Denny Moore of Maryville, Tenn.
There will be a Celebration of Life from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
