Wallace Ray Wilkerson

Wallace Ray WilkersonWallace Ray Wilkerson,64, passed away March 11, 2020 in the Exumas, Bahamas from injuries received in a boating accident.

Wally was born September 16, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri.  He lived most of his life in Kearney, Mo.  He graduated from Kearney High School in 1973 and later from CMSU.

Wally is survived by his wife, Deborah, of 36 years; daughter, Courtney; step-son, Christopher George (Kimberly);  grandchildren, Corey, Grayson, and Addison; mother, Betty Wilkerson; sisters, Brenda Wilkerson, Betty Joy Leighton, and Mary Simpson; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Wilkerson.

Wally had recently retired and living his dream sailing the Bahamas and beyond.  He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, scuba diving and was a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2020, with Celebration of Life at 3 p.m. at the Kearney Methodist Church, Kearney, Mo.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Turtle Hospital, 2396 Overseas Highway, Marathon, FL  33050.
