James Thomas Stockwell, 92, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri peacefully passed away on August 22, 2023, at home while surrounded by his family.
J.T. was born to Miller and Thelma (Pierce) Stockwell on August 18, 1931.
He worked in production for 36 and a half years at Owens Corning Fiberglass.
J.T. was proceeded in death by his parents, Miller and Thelma Stockwell; sister, Lorraine Becker; and niece, Janice Vick.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Wysong) of 59 years; daughters, Shauna (Rich) Johnson and Elaina Niemeier; grandchildren, Alyx (Nick) Hartwig, Garrett Niemeier, Ryan Niemeier, and Trey (Shiann McGuire) Johnson with great grandson due in December 2023; and nephew, Gary (Barbara) Kindred of Germany.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Barbee Memorial Presbyterian Church with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the church or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
