Glynda Endsley, 83, of Kearney, Missouri, passed away on October 23, 2024. Glynda was born in Bennington, Oklahoma, on June 26, 1941, to Glen Jackson and Pauline Hamilton. She grew up in a military family moving around the country and graduated from Rapid City High school in
1959. Her family’s last military move landed them in Lawson, Missouri, where she would eventually meet her future husband, James “Jim” Endsley. On December 10, 1961, they were married at Union Baptist Church in Orrick, Missouri.
Glynda enjoyed working in her flower beds, reading, and spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed taking care of the feral cats and stray dogs that came around her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and her brother, Johnnie.
She is survived by her two sons, Rob Endsley of Lexington, Missouri, and Ron Endsley of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; two grandchildren, Amber (Jeff) Langdon of Windsor, Missouri, and James Endsley of Cameron, Missouri; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Connie Gaston and Donna Hicks, both of Durant, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2024, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 217 W. Broadway, Excelsior Springs, with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. and burial at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
