Clifton E. Potter, 63, of Rayville, Mo., passed away December 25, 2024 at home surrounded by family. Cliff was born on October 20, 1961, in Burbank, Calif.
Clifton, also known as Cliff, was a truck driver. He started out ‘OTR’ over-the-road and then became a day cab driver to be at home with his wife and kids. He loved to pick on his kids and grandkids. He was a kind soul once you got to know him. He was very protective over his family and would do anything for family and friends. He loved his animals, his snakes, dogs, cat, pony, birds, and goat. If he could have taken in every animal, he would have. He had a sharp, quick sense of humor and was always first to speak if needed. He was an amazing man and left a impact on anyone he met. He will be missed by so many.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Marie (Ryan) Potter; father, Jake (Clarence) Potter; mother, Shirley Mae Gallagher-Potter; brother, David Potter; and brother-in-law, Mark Seldon.
Survivors include his children, Nikelle and Jeffery Appleberry, Samantha Potter, Justin Potter, and Lisa Potter; grandbabies, Jeremiah Ryan, Leciea Kindrick, Bonnie-Grace Ryan, Oxana’jo Payne, and Matthias Payne; sister, Melody Potter; four nieces and four nephews; 15 great nieces and nephews; and so many more that called him Dad!
A private service will be held in the summer.
Arrangements are in care of Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
